Acid Stains
Do you have blue-green stains on your water fixtures?
High levels of copper in water are usually found when your copper or brass plumbing has begun to corrode.
The blue-green stain is actually copper residue. As the acid water passes through the pipes it dissolves the copper in the pipe. In severe cases acid water can create holes in your home or businesses’ plumbing.
Signs of High Copper Water Problems:
- Metallic taste to your water
- Blue-green stains on your fixtures
- Color variations in your hair tones (especially blondes)
- Corrosion on aluminum surfaces
A Culligan Water Softener can reduce the level of copper in your water.
